Mom and Dad…

could you bring this kind of weather to Provo and leave the snow in the mountains?!??!

Sunday School

Genesis 14:1,2
1 And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations;

2 That these made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar

this is what i unknowingly volunteered to read in Rebecca’s sunday school class today. Hahah. I butchered every name, I do believe. It gave me and a few others a good laugh :  )

chunky strawberryyyyyyy

YUM!!! I talked about my obsession with chunky strawberry a few posts ago….and talked about how bad it was for ya. But my homemade version…not so! It tastes just like it! Here’s the recipe and a few pictures…

you’ll need this…

i use this kind of granola…i just got it at smiths!

about this much yogurt

2 halves of frozen bananas

about a cup of frozen strawberries

about 1/2 cup of yogurt (i’ve used low fat and fat free)

1/2 cup granola

big spoonful of peanut butter (the best part)

*Blend all of the above together

Put it in a cup and then sprinkle some granola on top and cut half of a fresh banana on top!

*I never measure anything, I just eye ball it!

i should be doing homework

… but i don’t have it in me right now.

here’s some pictures from our valentine trip to boise, idaho! so. much. fun.

it was so nice to get out of provo for the weekend and spend time with grandparents. I fell in love with Grandma Lucy ( I especially love her name). Rebecca’s grandparent’s were so nice to have us and fed us WAY too much. Grandma Lucy even shared some of her recipes with me!!! : )

I experienced Chuck-A-Rama for the first time on this trip. It was de-li-cious. Especially those wheat rolls with the cinnamon butter.Yum!

Because of this trip, I gained a different respect for Idaho. It is really pretty, especially Boise.  There was no snow on the ground…it was perfect. The weather was mild and there were TREES! And another added bonus…it was a little bit humid!! (no worries though i still wanna live in alabama, no doubt.)

I made Dad’s famous cat head biscuits all by myself for the first time. Granny Bess was smilin’ down on me from heaven for sure. I think she would of been proud.

We even played dress up with some old dresses of Mrs. Memselle’s and her sisters. It was lots of fun and brought on lots and lots of laughter.

Rebecca even found her mom’s tiara and “miss meridian” sash and reminisced for her momma.

But here are the pictures from the trip, I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

we found one!

Yesterday….where to start??? Me and Becca slept in late (which felt so nice) and then went to the gym and then came back to find Sarah Falk running on the street. We planned to meet at our apartment after we all got showers to look for apartments for next year. We looked, and looked, and looked, and looked some more until we were absolutely sick of it. Sarah tried to give us a few pep talks, but our first wind was completely gone and there was no sign of a second one.  But after probably about 10 different apartment complexes and knocking on what seemed like 100 doors, we came home. Sarah left but Becca kept searching on the internet and we found two more apartments that looked hopeful. We got back out again and looked at them. The answer was again no! We came back and Sarah sweared she would cut our thumbs off if we looked on the internet for more housing for next year. But we didn’t listen. We found an apartment that had 4 spots in one of the apartments we really liked! We went to go look at it and it was a winner!! It was so exciting! We have to talk to Michael and get approval from her, but it is 99.9% sure that this is the apartment!!….here it is.

Devonshire apartments!!!

We were gonna make some yummy taco soup for dinner, but we were completely worn out, So me, Becca, and Amy went to Sushi Ya to get some sushi. It was so delicious. I love Sushi and I never thought that I would ever said that.

Then we went to Walmart to pick up a few things and guess what was on the way back…Krispy Kreme!!! Wow. I lost my self  control and broke down and got one. But the best part was that it was free because the “hot now” sign was up! Yum!

(yes, this picture is old but I just loved it. this is probably what we looked like looking at the doughnuts in the glass counter!)
